John was able to implement our vision of using our existing cabinetry to accommodate a stainless-steel vent hood we wanted installed. He worked with our appliance installer to get it done in one day. He identified that we were going to have a gap between vent and cabinetry and was receptive to us using our existing cabinetry and was able to cut down excess material to fill the gap. He did this quickly and effectively.

John did an awesome job renovating our den to add an electric fireplace surrounded by cabinets and bookshelves with built in lighting. At the start, he helped with the overall vision and planning, talking through various options and layouts. His proposal and pricing were very reasonable, especially compared to other builder and GC quotes we received. He coordinated subs for electric and stone, while doing much of the work himself. He was always very responsive and kept us updated throughout the project. Dust control and clean-up were really great, too. Highly recommend Bold City Kitchens for similar projects. Thanks again, John!

John took over a major kitchen renovation for my design client. We changed a lot of major things in the kitchen, family room and cabana bath. All of the appliances were replaced, all new appliances were added, new backsplash, new lighting fixtures painting also the family room bookcase cabinetry. We did an unusual striking stone for the countertops in the kitchen and bath. We had challenges along the way and JOHN knew exactly what to do. As an ASID Allied interior designer, people expect me to use the best of the best. JOHN will always be my only kitchen Contractor.

We remodeled/renovated several rooms in our home and John Powell with Bold City Kitchens did an awesome job. We highly recommend John for any remodel/renovation project you have. In our kitchen he lowered the wall/countertop to one level and installed new countertops throughout. He redid the backsplashes. We had him install a new double sink and faucet. He replaced an outdated cooktop with an induction cooktop and replaced an outdated hood with a custom wood hood. We now have under counter lighting, a very nice touch John insisted on. And glad he did. The biggest thing is John painted our old natural walnut wood cabinets so we didn’t have to rip them out. Still have quality wood cabinets with a fresh new look. We had new hanging lighting installed over the center island and in the breakfast nook. In our cabana bath, John painted the walnut wood cabinets in there as well and replaced the vanity top and faucet. He painted the walnut wood entertainment center in the family room. And in our master suite, he painted the walnut wood cabinets and drawers in each of our vanities along with replacing the vanity countertops and faucets. John is truly a craftsman and very open to the client’s ideas. He’s very reasonable with his fees and no “nickel and dime-ing” you. He did an incredible job and we highly recommend him.

John (Bold City Kitchens) did an extraordinary job adding light rail to our cabinets to cover the glare of under the cabinet lighting in our kitchen! We requested a smaller than standard size rail in order to continue to use the under the counter lighting for cooking on our counter. John was able to accomodate. He is highly skilled and very reasonably priced. Very professional and ethical. We referred him to our family, neighbors and friends! We will use his services again! Highly Recommended 5++++

John Powell completely remodeled my master bathroom and reconfigured the space to optimize the layout. John hired excellent subcontractors when needed. Quality and beautiful workmanship. He was on time, kept the space clean, showed up when he said he would. He managed the timeline well. I am very pleased with my bathroom and would definitely recommend John for any future bathroom/kitchen project.

John did an amazing job redoing my laundry room! I went from having no storage to a beautiful space with plenty of cabinets. He was easy to work with; efficient; patient with all my questions; and his prices were extremely competitive. I can’t say enough good things about Bold City Kitchens!
